Arthur L. (“Bud”) Burnett, MD, MBA, FACS is a board-certified urologic surgeon who has been active in the practice of urology for more than 30 years. Dr. Burnett completed medical school in 1988 followed by urology residency and fellowship training in reconstructive urology at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in Baltimore, Maryland. He subsequently joined the faculty of the Department of Urology and attained the position of Professor of Urology. As a Professor of Urology, Dr. Burnett is constantly involved in educational activities and training in the urology specialty. He also obtained a Master of Business Administration from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. He has been actively involved in social entrepreneurship and urology surgical mentorship activities worldwide over the past 30 years.
Dr. Burnett holds an Honorary Professorship in the Department of Surgery, Radiology, Anesthesia & Critical Care, Faculty of Medical Science University of the West Indies Mona Jamaica. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, member of the American Association of Genitourinary Surgeons as well as a member and officer of many other professional urological societies and associations.
Dr. Burnett has received a number of academic and humanitarian distinctions to include: the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Martin Luther King, Jr. Award for Community Service in 2013; the Urology Care Foundation Distinguished Mentor Award in 2016; the Baltimore Orioles Birdland Community Hero Award in 2018; and the Caribbean Urological Association Honoree in 2019.
Darnellena C. Burnett, CPA, Esq. is a contract attorney with more than 25 years of experience in the legal profession with expertise in contract law, privilege reviews and pharmaceutical matters. Ms. Burnett graduated from Hampton University, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (cum laude), then earned a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license. She worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield for three years, producing multimillion dollar financial reports, then attended George Mason University School of Law, now Antonin Scalia Law School, where she obtained a juris doctorate degree with an emphasis on economics.
Ms. Burnett has provided litigation support through her contract and consulting activities on a wide range of issues including pharmaceutical matters, healthcare mergers, construction, property management, retirement plan compliance, intellectual property, wage and rate challenges, and allegations of fraud. Ms. Burnett has held affordable housing and government positions such as office manager for Kentucky’s Commission on Human Rights, legal intern for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)/ Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) and Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, an analyst for real estate workouts, defaults and reorganizations and Special Assistant to the Executive Director District of Columbia Housing Authority, in Washington, DC.
Ms. Burnett is a member in good standing of five bars (PA, DC, VA, MD and KY), and completes the required biennial professional education required for her CPA license.
Rhonice M.A. Burnett, MBA is a strategic planning consultant with more than 30 years of planning experience. Ms. Burnett earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree with a concentration in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Princeton University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, with a focus on planning, finance and international business.
Ms. Burnett joined Johns Hopkins in 1996 as a Marketing Project Manager and held various marketing, business development and planning positions. She served as the Director of Strategic Planning, for Johns Hopkins Medicine International (JHI) where she coordinated all planning activities. Prior to JHI, Ms. Burnett was the Director of Strategic Planning for Johns Hopkins Medicine within the Department of Health Care Transformation and Strategic Planning. Prior to working at Johns Hopkins, Ms. Burnett worked with CIGNA Property and Casualty Companies in Philadelphia, PA, T. Rowe Price Associates in Baltimore, MD and as an acquisitions officer for the United States Air Force at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MA.
Uzoma A. Anele received his undergraduate degree in biological sciences from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and medical degree from the University of Maryland. He then completed an NIH/NIDDK-funded, 2-year postdoctoral research training fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute as well as the Graduate Training Program in Clinical Investigation at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. He completed his residency training at Virginia Commonwealth University followed by a clinical fellowship in genitourinary reconstruction at the Cleveland Clinic Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute. He has authored over 40 published manuscripts and book chapters. He is currently the Director of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Louisville. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, playing sand volleyball, and chasing after their dog.
Dr. Roberts is a medical graduate of the UWI who completed his residency in Urology with a Fellowship in Renal Transplantation at Dalhousie University in Canada Nova Scotia. He returned to the Bahamas in 1987 pioneering Urological services in the public and private sectors for the Bahamian archipelago, while extending his tentacles to foster similar advances in the region. He is an MBA in Health Care Administration and Policy from the University of Miami and is also a graduate of The UWI Caribbean leadership institute. He is currently the Director and Senior Lecturer, of the UWI School of Clinical Medicine & Research, The Bahamas, and is actively championing the cause for Universal Health Coverage as the first Chairman of the Board of the National Health Insurance Authority.
In 2017 he was awarded the Life time Achievement Award by the Caribbean Association of Urology, and duly recognized also by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the 2017 London Gazette, New Year Honor List for the Bahamas, with the award of the Order of the British Empire and thus an Officer of this most Excellent Order.
Charles E. Collier is a retired United States Military Officer who served over twenty five years in the United States Air Force. During his military career, he served tours in Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain, and finally retired after serving four years at the Pentagon.
After receiving his doctorate degree from George Washington University in 2002, Charles received approval from the IRS for a non-profit 501 C (3), The Institute for At Risk Children (IARC). The IARC provided interventions such as individual therapy, group therapy, parent and teacher training, mentoring, and neurofeedback to students in specific schools within Washington D.C. Funding support was obtained through the Department of Education and the program was implemented in specific schools in Washington D.C. In 2005, Charles received approval from the IRS for another non-profit 501 C (3), The Institute for Service Disabled Military Veterans. Funding support was sought from government contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Pratt & Whitney, and General Electric. He is currently the President of The Collier Group Incorporated which focuses on providing logistical and administrative support to government agencies within the Washington Metropolitan Area. Charles has extensive experience in seeking funding via the submission of contracts and grants to obtain funding support.
